Ceremony Details
Our wedding ceremony will begin at 4 PM on Saturday October 7th, 2023. After the ceremony we will stroll over to the pavilion and lawn where dinner, drinks, and the reception will follow. For those guests with children and babies, we would be delighted for you to bring them! We will have some activities for them during the reception so they have a fun time too. (:
Venue
Our ceremony and reception will be held on the grounds of HomeGrown HideAways, a family farm and AgriTourism destination nestled in the hills just outside Berea.
Our choice of venue reflects our shared love of nature, camping, and time spent with family and friends outdoors. There is no cell service or internet, so please come prepared to disconnect and be fully present!
Wedding Attire
Join us for our outdoor fall wedding in your Sunday best! To ensure your comfort for dancing, socializing, and yard games we HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you wear comfortable shoes. The ceremony and reception will take place on a lawn and the pavilion where dinner is to be held has a gravel floor. If you are a til-death-do-us-part high heel aficionado, wedges are the only style we would suggest for your comfort.
Directions
HomeGrown HideAways is located at 500 Floyd Branch Road in the beautiful Red Lick Valley, approximately 12 miles east of Berea, 20 miles south of Richmond, 45 miles south Lexington, and 145 miles north of Knoxville. You will drive up Floyd Branch road for 1.5 miles until you come to the driveway for the venue. The gravel drive looks steep but not to worry- it is easily navigable. We will have signs for the wedding to indicate the correct driveway. If you're worried your GPS may lead you astray, use the directions below.
From the North
I-75 South to exit 83 (Duncannon Lane). From the ramp, turn LEFT onto Duncannon Lane. Stay on Duncannon for about 4 miles until it ends at the Army Depot. Turn RIGHT onto US 25/421 South. At the 25/421 split, fork RIGHT to stay on US 421 South, headed towards McKee for about 10 miles (DO NOT veer right onto HWY 1016 - KEEP LEFT at the fork). Turn LEFT onto Red Lick Rd (HWY 594) and follow for 3.5 miles to Floyd Branch Road. Floyd Branch is the FIRST RIGHT after the vacant gas station. The venue is on the right 1.5 miles down Floyd Branch.
From the South
I-75 North to exit 76 (KY 21). From the ramp, turn RIGHT onto KY 21 (Chestnut Street). Go about 1.5 miles to College Square and VEER RIGHT at the stop light to stay on KY 21. When you cross the intersection between Boone Tavern Hotel and Union Church, KY 21 becomes Prospect Street. Stay on Prospect/KY 21 for about 5 miles until it ends at 421/Big Hill Road. Turn LEFT onto 421 North and drive about 1.2 miles to Red Lick Road (HWY 594). Turn RIGHT onto Red Lick Road (HWY 594) and follow for 3.5 miles to Floyd Branch Road. Floyd Branch is the FIRST RIGHT after the vacant gas station. The venue is on the right 1.5 miles down Floyd Branch.
